This song was introduced to me by my brother , he used to play a cassette on our old and reliable PHILIPS tape recorder. It had many great tracks but this was one which I had never heard in my life and stood out.
You can always push an instrument to create masterpieces , like GUITAR play in Sultans of Swing or SAXOPHONE in Careless Whisper take them to new levels of excellence.
That's what VANESSA CARLTON does with the Piano in this song.
Also Vanessa has a very easy going way of singing the song. She sings as if she is telling you a story and asking you questions. Its a conversation rather than a song.
